History
Opened in the year 1979 - those days still under the name Mitropa, which was then prohibited by the dining car catering firm- Café M has become something of a legend.
The history of the Schoneberg café is peppered with great names of the Berlin music and culture scene. Blixa Bargeld und Harry Hass drank their coffee here. Nick Cave and his bad Seeds were regular guests in the early nineties and later names like Jim Avignon or Bernd Cailoux consorted here as well.
The tough, creative and familiar charm of Café M has remained over the years and is reflected in the wide mix of guests that come here.
